Charlie Faye
Charlie Faye is a lifelong musician, songwriter, and recording artist, who has used her experience to help others move forward on their unique paths for over a decade. She carries a strong belief that when it comes to working with artists, nothing should ever be cookie-cutter, because every artist's strengths and goals are different. Faye began doing consulting for musicians in 2011, and currently specializes in artist management and project management for record releases. Her management clients include Wonderly and BettySoo.
Faye has recently taken on the role of Head of Artist Services at Traffic Music, and manages artists under the umbrella of Loophole Management.
Faye's strong management skills and innovative way of doing things were gained by her experience as an artist. She put herself on the map when she did a 10-month residency tour, living in a different city each month, putting together a band of local musicians, and recording a new song in each city. Later, her retro-soul girl group Charlie Faye & The Fayettes garnered major media attention and critical praise, rose into the top 20 on the Americana Radio Chart, and landed her a publishing deal with Rough Trade, getting her songs placed in TV shows like Riverdale and Girlboss. Faye also worked as a music supervisor on the independent film Windsor.
Charlie has enjoyed speaking on and moderating panels at conferences like Folk Alliance International and AmericanaFest. Charlie completed Austin Music Foundation's Leaders in Austin Music program, and was named a Changemaker by Austin Woman Magazine in 2024 in recognition of her consulting services for musicians, music businesses, and music nonprofits. She has also dedicated her time to working on projects related to affordable housing for artists.
Current and former clients include:
